** Effective 01/01/2018, OSCAR has once again partnered with QualCare to provide access to its regional HMO network of providers and to also provide medical management services including care management and chronic condition management.
--OSCAR is one of only three insurance companies that is offered on the Public Health Care Exchange in NJ. The public exchange is the only place consumers can receive federal subsidies to help pay for their health insurance.
--OSCAR is administered through QualCare's HMO Network and is not a contract that is negotiated by the NJMS Managed Care Reimbursement Committee
and is not managed by the NJMS-Office of Managed Care.
***Effective 8/1/2013, Rutgers students with UHC Student Resources insurance have access to NJMS Faculty Practice physicians and University Hospital as Preferred Providers through our
relationship with Multiplan. The Multiplan logo is on the student health ID card.
****Although not a group agreement, the VA Choice Program is a medical service program allowing registered NJMS clinical faculty providers to treat Veterans referred by HealthNet Federal Services on behalf of local VA facilities.
--- All appointments for VA Choice will be coordinated by HealthNet Federal Services on behalf of the Veterans.
